Great and super fast service from this supplier.
I read up on these High Polyphenol oils, and the associated health benefits. I found this one via a friend who had taken it and had resultant improvements in health. Having then read up on the brand, I was impressed by their approach and reviews so made my purchase. Apart from tasting delicious, which is obvs very important! myself and my partner are feeling great on it already. This oil will be my go to going forward.

This organic extra virgin olive oil from Lepur in Dalmatia is a must-have store cupboard item for all kitchens. The super high polyphenols (1300mg/kg) result in an elegant, rich and balanced peppery flavour which, in particular, transforms the taste of a simple salad, poached or grilled fish, pasta and steak. It is also incredibly moreish as a dipping oil with sour dough or rye bread. Use liberally as a finishing oil on any dishes or, if you are not inclined to cook, simply take one or two tablespoons a day for its nutritional benefits.

Purchased by me as a gift. Recipient has written the following review:

Olive oil is in the news almost all the time, from the impact of drought in Italy, bad weather in France, or the adulteration scandal in Spain years ago, and now possibly a bumper harvest again (but don’t expect prices to fall by much). London’s gentrified streets are dotted with olive trees (some even bearing fruit, though it’s not clear what is done with the harvest). The main stream media (The Times, The Daily Express, the Guardian) carry articles ranking various brands and big supermarket offerings. The health benefits of the Mediterranean diet, including olive oil, have been touted for years. Olive oil tastings are almost as prevalent as wine tastings, with some of the same verbiage around aroma, taste front of mouth, taste back of mouth, hints of grass and herbs, food pairings. Meantime, as the price of a litre of olive oil has crept, or even sometimes surged, inexorably upwards, we debate whether actually a bottle of olive oil wouldn’t be more welcome to one’s dinner party hostess than a bottle of wine.
Gone are the days when a small phial of the magic elixir was only available at the Chemist’s and that just as a treatment for ear-ache.
As demand grows another country has joined the ranks of olive oil producers, or at any rate exporters – Croatia - which has been a member of the EU for 12 years and joined the Eurozone in January 2023. This is surely no surprise, given the geographic proximity of that country to those other well-known olive oil producers, Italy and Greece. What sets this olive oil apart is its high concentration of polyphenols, that bit of almost pure chocolate which makes us all happy (and is supposed to be good for heart health)! It’s true that olive oil doesn’t have as high a polyphenol count as chocolate: extra-virgin olive oil, 62 mg of polyphenols per 100 ml; dark chocolate, 1,664 mg per 100 g.
But if you’re going to be buying olive oil anyway, why not go for the one with the highest polyphenols? And this is where Dalmatia scores.:
We tasted the Le Pur 2024 early harvest Dalmatian oil alongside four others:
A known brand Golden extra virgin oil from Crete, cold extraction and unfiltered
Our regular use brand of Greek extra virgin olive oil
An own brand supermarket Italian Extra virgin olive oil, cold extracted
A Spanish Extra Virgin olive oil available in supermarkets

All were considered to be of “dipping/dressing/drizzling” quality and none had featured in any of the many recent articles about olive oil which are suddenly everywhere. All were of a similar gold colour in a white bowl, rather than some of the greener, grassier varieties, with a little difference in viscosity, but not marked. As only one of the bottles was clear, we couldn’t tell the density of the colours in concentrated quantity. Of them all the Le Pur had the strongest flavour, and a little more bite than any of the others, which is the mark of a high polyphenol oil. As its name suggests, there is nothing cloying about this oil, it is all pure flavour. The strength and pepperiness would balance well when mixed with a sweet balsamic vinegar in a salad dressing or for bread dipping. Given its premium price Le Pur is certainly not an olive oil for using as the TV chefs say by adding “a good glug” to your pan while cooking. The trick with all luxury items such as the Le Pur Dalmatian olive oil is to look out for offers and be sure to use the less expensive brands for cooking, saving the pricier ones for piquing the appetite, or as gifts.

Ok first thing to say, strong peppery aftertaste, usually a sign of quality. Fortunately I have a half teaspoon of raw honey to aid sleep which clears the taste
Nice dark glass bottle which is good for storage
High in polyphenols... don't know how to test really but reviews seem to uphold this claim and product is certified
Going to be a while before any results to report
Going to also try a polyphenol overload, infusing some oil with raw propolis in a seperate bottle although it will be several weeks before this is ready to drink
Wouldn't suggest trying this if you are allergic to bees and read up on propolis if the idea interests you
Helps if you know a bee keeper who will be happy to give you advice and I use raw product rather than shop bought as it won't be heated or treated which may alter its properties

Absolutely love this oil! Arrived the next day with Prime delivery. Such a rich and peppery taste, I don't need to use salt or pepper with it . The peppery taste tells me it's extremely high in polythenols/antioxidants and in comparison to other olive oils that don't even have as high polythenols it's actually cheaper. Will continue taking it .. it's like a medecine that's extremely tasty and good for you !

I had the pleasure of visiting the Dalmatia Oil mill last year, knowing very little about olive oil beyond what’s sold in supermarkets. The tour was an eye-opener—learning about polyphenols, freshness, and the care that goes into producing this oil completely changed my view.

Since then, I’ve become a total convert. Not only do I take a spoonful every morning for the health benefits, but I’ve also fallen in love with the taste. It’s rich, peppery, and full of character—nothing like the bland oils I used to buy. Now, I use it in salads, drizzle it over food, and even enjoy it straight from the spoon.

If you’ve never experienced truly high-quality olive oil, this is the one to try. Highly recommend!
